Discovery Wealth Management Learnership 2025/2026

Discovery invites unemployed young South Africans to apply for the Wealth Management Learnership Programme for 2025/2026. The programme is based in Sandton, Gauteng, and leads to a nationally recognised National Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF Level 5). It combines classroom-based learning with practical work experience in the financial services industry.

Programme Overview

Corporate & Employee Benefits Track
Learners in this stream will gain exposure to:

  • Life benefits and retirement fund administration

  • Funeral policy management

  • Client servicing and communication

  • Claims processing

  • Pre-sale underwriting

  • New business processes


Discovery Connect Track
This stream focuses on business and client support functions such as:

  • Business administration and operational support

  • Handling and routing of queries

  • Managing service-level agreement (SLA) queries

  • Logging IT support requests and retrieving recordings

  • Identifying sales opportunities and assisting teams

Skills and Attributes Required

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Effective time management and planning skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, both independently and in teams

  • Adaptability, resilience, and a service-driven attitude

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English)

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric is essential, with the following minimum results:

    • Mathematics: Level 4 (50%)

    • English: Level 4 (50%)

    • Mathematical Literacy: Level 5 (60%)

    • Second Language: Level 4 (50%)

  • An incomplete tertiary qualification in finance will be an added advantage

  • Must not be enrolled in full-time studies or permanently employed

  • Must not have previously completed a learnership

  • Age: Between 18 and 30 years

  • Nationality: South African citizens by birth

  • Basic computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
