Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) offers a bursary programme for the 2026 academic year to support outstanding Grade 12 learners and current tertiary students. The bursary aims to provide financial assistance for studies and practical workplace experience. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to study at a university of their choice.

Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (BSc)

Mechatronics, Metallurgy, or Metrology

Finance, Accounting, or Economics

Supply Chain or Logistics

Human Kinetics and Ergonomics

Business Studies (Sales, After-sales, Marketing, and Communications)

Human Resources, Law, Legal Studies, or Compliance
Requirements
To qualify for the Mercedes-Benz South Africa bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Be a South African citizen, or a foreign national eligible for a valid work visa or permit under the Immigration Act.

Be studying or intending to study full-time toward a qualification in one of the listed fields at a recognized South African university or tertiary institution.

Grade 12 learners must have achieved a minimum overall average of 70%, including at least 65% in Mathematics and/or Physical Science (for engineering-related studies).

Current tertiary students must have obtained at least a 65% average in their most recent semester results.

Applicants must not be current employees of Mercedes-Benz South Africa or any of its associated companies.

Preference may be given to candidates residing in the Eastern Cape province.
