A leading global mining equipment company is offering 10 places for a 12-month “Artisan Bridge Learner” programme based in Kempton Park, South Africa. Successful applicants will receive hands-on training and practical experience in maintaining and rebuilding mining machines, working with world-class equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform tasks as directed in accordance with the training plan.
Attend formal training and on-the-job work and strive to achieve required competencies.
Maintain a professional approach including punctuality, respect for others, adherence to instructions and internal policies.
Keep an accurate training record/log and produce it when required.
Comply with safety regulations and operational procedures in a mining environment.
Profile and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following:

A completed Grade 12 (Matric) qualification with Mathematics and Science (or equivalent).

Minimum N2 in Engineering Studies.

A qualified Millwright trade certificate is preferred; suitably qualified Electricians will also be considered.

A valid Section 13 Trade Certificate or Section 26D Trade Certificate together with proof of modules, apprenticeship records or portfolio of evidence (POE).

Be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.

Have up-to-date vaccination certificate in line with customer requirements.

Preference is given to candidates residing in/around any of these areas: Secunda, Ogies, Middelburg, Ulundi, Witbank, Delmas, Piet Retief, Burgersfort/Lydenburg, Springbok, Kathu, Lime Acres.
