This learnership offers a practical, immersive experience at TotalEnergies’ lubricant manufacturing facility. Over the course of twelve months, participants will engage in structured training and on-the-job exposure within a professional manufacturing environment. The emphasis is on production processes, equipment handling, quality control and supply-chain logistics.
The goal is to build industry-relevant skills and provide a stepping stone into careers within the energy and manufacturing sectors, while supporting TotalEnergies’ commitment to youth empowerment and transformation in South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Hold a National Senior Certificate (Matric) or an NTC 4 Engineering qualification in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering.

  • Have a TVET qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management — this is an added advantage.

  • Be a South African citizen.

  • Have no prior work experience (this opportunity is designed for youth and recent school/college graduates).

  • Certified copies of qualifications (certificates must be no older than three months at time of submission).

Key Responsibilities

During the programme, participants will:

  • Gain exposure to lubricant manufacturing and operational processes at the Durban plant.

  • Assist with daily production and processing activities.

  • Participate in quality assurance, safety protocols and operational compliance.

  • Develop basic skills in supply chain coordination and logistics.

  • Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians within a structured training environment.
